Clean-up campaign in the Kalkalpen National Park
Rangers from the Kalkalpen National Park, supported by colleagues from the Donau-Auen National Park, once again used a day of action around World Ranger Day on July 31 to remove contaminated sites in the Upper Austrian nature reserve. This involved cutting, collecting and jointly removing peelings from spruce and beech trunks in the steep mountain forest, which were planted long before the national park was established. At the end of several hours of intensive work, the Austrian Federal Forests invited the participants to a hearty snack at the Bodiggraben forester's lodge.
