Our New National Park Partner Schools

The Großraming Elementary School and Middle School are the two newest Kalkalpen National Park . With the signing of the cooperation agreements, the network has grown to a total of 13 partner schools in the national park region.

“Großraming has been a National Park community from the very beginning. The students here grow Kalkalpen National Park naturally alongside the Kalkalpen National Park . We are especially pleased that the elementary school and the middle school are now part of our partner school network,” emphasizes National Park Director Josef Forstinger.
As National Park partner schools, the two schools will increasingly incorporate National Park-related content into their lessons in the future. National park adventure days, field trips, and other educational programs will give students hands-on experiences with nature and teach them to treat the natural world with respect. To mark the start of the partnership, both schools also received a package of books for their school libraries. This will allow students to continue exploring topics such as forest wilderness, biodiversity, and nature conservation at home.
