Along our hike, we find out how differently animals and plants cope with winter. Winter fat keeps hibernators warm, for others it's time to head south! But not everyone retreats, some species even mate in winter.

Time & duration: Approximately 3-4 hours (pure walking time approx. 2.5 hours)

Equipment: Mountain boots, possibly shoe claws (spikes) and gaiters, weatherproof winter clothing, hiking poles, snack and drink
