IN KALKALPEN NATIONAL PARK

Two bivouac sites are available at Kalkalpen National Park from May to October for overnight stays and camping in the open air.

ATTENTION LOCK

Due to the clean-up work after the storms and the poor accessibility, the Steyrsteg bivouac site is expected to be closed until October 13, 2024.

Spending a night in the middle of the national park is something very special

Spend the night under the stars

The Weißwasser bivouac site and the Steyrsteg bivouac site are available from May to October (depending on snow conditions) for a fee.

Maximum length of stay: 2 nights
Sleeping places: for approx. 10 two-person tents
Facilities: fire pit, wood for making a fire, toilet, paved ground for sleeping, no drinking water!

ATTENTION!

Forest fire protection regulation has come into force in the district of Steyr Land and in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems. No fires may be lit at the Weißwasser bivouac site and the Steyrsteg bivouac site until 31.10.2024!
