Understanding and preserving nature
The Austrian national parks are part of Austria's natural treasure. Thanks to their establishment, the often last habitats for animals and plants, from the wetlands in the Danube floodplains to the forest wilderness in the Limestone Alps and high alpine grasslands in the Hohe Tauern, have been protected from human interests.
The pristine natural areas in Austria's national parks exude a fascination for us humans. Their preservation is the prerequisite for biodiversity. This biodiversity is the basis of life - beautiful, valuable and fragile.
Our materials are primarily designed for grades 5 to 8. However, individual methods are also suitable for younger or older pupils.

National Parks Austria
Nature experience with added value
With the educational materials available in a compact and standardized form, we bring the diversity of the six Austrian national parks with their special features, concerns, tasks and natural treasures into the classroom - and naturally want to whet the appetite for a visit to Austria's most precious protected areas at the same time.
At the heart of the publication are six national park-specific chapters, which offer a variety of methods on selected core topics of the protected areas as well as detailed background information for educators. The thematic packages with information and methods can be individually integrated into lessons as "building blocks". The topics "Habitat" and "Water" form the main focus of the content and are taken up by all national parks in their sections.
THE WILD FOUR
Wolf, bear, lynx and wilderness in Europe
With the publication "The Wild Four", we would like to encourage people to engage with wilderness and help them to re-establish a personal relationship with nature and to treat it with respect and appreciation. Publisher: European Wilderness Society and Kalkalpen National Park
