Wilderness education course 2026/27

In-service training in the Kalkalpen National Park

This course consists of six modules that build on each other. The focus of the training is on learning skills for living in the wilderness, such as getting to know and using plants, knowledge about mammals, the art of nature mentoring and training attention and awareness. In addition, important practical skills are also taught, such as making cooking utensils or building shelters.
The training blocks are held at Kalkalpen National Park WildnisCamp . The module in December takes place in the Waldviertel near 3931 Sallingstadt.

It will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.

We invite anyone interested in further training in wilderness education to attend our free information evening.

Cooperation and certification

The training is a cooperation between Kalkalpen National Park and the wilderness school Wildniswissen.
A certificate is issued upon successful completion.

Contribution

Course fee Euro 1.790,- plus accommodation and meals from Euro 175,- per weekend.
The course fee is payable in one down payment and 8 monthly installments.
