Spring-green beech trees accompany the banks of the free-flowing Krummen Steyrling

Cool waters, wild forests

We walk along enchanting mountain streams on old paths. These are the birthplaces of the rare primeval trout, which can still be found in the national park. We hike through rustic forests and over alpine pastures. The Weingartalm offers an impressive view of the forest sea of the Reichraminger Hintergebirge.

Difficulty: Moderate (distance 10 km / 400 m elevation gain)
Our hike takes us from the Haslersgatter parking lot in Windischgarsten via Mairreith down to Schafgraben, on to Weingartalm (not open to the public) and past Rumplmayrreith back to the starting point.
