Wilderness hiking for women (2 days)

On lonely paths
On a full-day hike on old, almost forgotten paths, we enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest wilderness. We climb up to the National Park Wilderness Camp, immerse ourselves in the experience of "walking" and reflect on our strengths. We explore the habitat of plants and animals. We spend the evening cooking together around the fire pit at the wilderness camp. After an enjoyable breakfast and awareness exercises in the forest, we hike back to the Hengstpass the next day (1 hour walk) and conclude our program with lunch together at the Villa Sonnwend National Park Lodge.

Camp management

Petra Schabhüttl National Park Ranger, nature and special needs teacher, mother of a daughter, enthusiastic trail rider, mountain biker and gardener. I see nature as a possible space that can serve as a medium for self-efficacy, interaction and reflection in learning processes, because it provides immediate feedback.
Susanne Oyrer National park ranger, earth scientist, educator

About me
Mountains, horses, mountain biking, gardening and books define my life. But also relaxing with friends over a good coffee or wine.

I am particularly interested in
living in and learning from nature, transferring principles of ecological relationships and natural processes to people in the form of tasks and exercises (experiential education)

Why did I become a ranger?
I became a ranger because I would like to share my knowledge about the fascination of nature with others.
