UNESCO World Heritage Tour: To the Siebenbrünn

The Kalkalpen National Park is the most important forest national park in the Alps. With its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is part of a Europe-wide project to protect the last remaining primeval beech forests. These ancient forests with their diversity are a natural treasure. Primeval forest species such as the Alpine longhorn beetle and white-backed woodpecker find a home here.

We hike from the Zickerreith parking lot on the Hengstpass to the Dörflmoaralm/Ahornsattel and then follow the forest path downhill to the headwaters of the Siebenbrünn.

Time & duration: approx. 5 hours (pure walking time approx. 2.5 hours / 350 m elevation gain)
Contribution: Adults € 28,- / Children € 17,- / Family € 56,-
Info: Suitable for children aged 10 and over. Free participation in the fixed dates with the Pyhrn-Priel Card.
Equipment: Weatherproof clothing, hiking boots, snack and drink, hiking poles
