Torchlight hike Panorama Tower
We hike from Windischgarsten to the Wurbauerkogel. Our destination is the National Park Panorama Tower, with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The "Fascination of Rock" exhibition shows extraordinary animals and plants that have adapted to the barren mountain habitat. At dusk, we return to the valley through the winter forest by the light of our torches and headlamps.
Time & duration: in the afternoon approx. 3.5 hours (pure walking time approx. 1 ½ hours, approx. 250 m ascent)
Equipment: Winter shoes with grippy soles (forest paths can be slippery), weatherproof winter clothing, headlamp, possibly a small snack
